Lisa M. Brady presented an invited research talk, “Capitalist Pigs: International Aid Agencies and Agricultural Development in South Korea, 1945-1961,” at Nanjing University, China, on Oct. 24. The talk was sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Brady also presented a number of talks: one at Tianjin Normal University on the Anthropocene on Oct. 26, another at Nankai University on environmental history on Oct. 29, and two at the East Asian Environmental History Conference in Tianjin, China – one on water development in South Korea on Oct. 27, and another on Idaho in the Anthropocene on Oct. 28.
