Philosophy Prof Presentations on Personal Identity Nov. 10, 11

Cody Gilmore, professor of philosophy at UC Davis, specializes in analytic metaphysics. He works on theories of parthood and location and explores questions about grounding, propositions, personal identity and the nature of death.

He will present a talk titled “Personal Identity and Theories of Fission” at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, Then at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, he will present a deeper discussion geared toward philosophy faculty, students and interested others titled “Ternary Orders in Temporal Topology, Personal Identity and Theory of Ground.”

Both events will be held in the Student Union Farnsworth Room and all are welcome to attend.
