Yu-Chang Hsu, Yu-Hui Ching and Sally Baldwin, a recent graduate from the educational technology doctoral program, won the 2017 Outstanding Paper Award at the E-Learn World Conference held at Vancouver, British Columbia.

The paper, “Physical Computing for STEAM Education: Maker-Educators’ Experiences in an Online Graduate Course,” explores how K-16 educators learned physical computing for facilitating STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) education and developed as maker-educators in an online graduate course.

The E-Learn World Conference is organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education and co-sponsored by the International Journal on E-Learning. Education leaders from more than 60 countries attend each year.

This paper was selected for its outstanding contribution to the conference after rigorous review by the program committee and chairs of E-Learn 2017.
