From botany to geography, to geology, Boise State Environmental Studies students are sharing their knowledge of the natural world with local children. Lauren Howard and Eric Swider, both seniors, are group leaders at Boise Parks and Recreation’s Mountain Discovery Camp at Bogus Basin. While hiking alpine trails and exploring rock formations, Swider and Howard teach campers about plant and animal life. Kids sharpen their senses and skills in a vibrant, wild environment. The camp is just one of the many ways Boise State is connecting with the community beyond campus.
